Last Update–Hopefully!–On Personal Health Issues

Dear Friends,

This will be brief, and hopefully the last message of this sort I need to send out for awhile. As of this week, all restrictions have been lifted on my activities. I’ve returned to the gym for my usual workout program, and I’m walking normally without “walker” or cane. I’m off all the prescription drugs associated with the knee procedure, so yesterday I was even able to enjoy a beer with dinner!

Not to say I’m back to 100%, whatever that might mean, but it looks like I should be there within the next few weeks. In the meantime, I’m continuing to receive superb Physical Therapy from Kramer (if you are anywhere in the Knoxville area and need it, it’s the best place imaginable).

I’m working on a few projects including a memoir and additional reflections on the scholarly issues I care about, so I hope you will enjoy receiving a few posts now and then–if I can do it, I’m aiming for two a week or so.

Thanks for all the well-wishes I’ve received, and looking forward!
